James K. {One Year Old}

Lauren booked this session months ago and it was so nice to finally meet this sweet little boy! I went to high school with Aaron and hadn't seen him in quite a few years so it was nice to catch up and see how great life has been for him. It's crazy how at this age, so much can change in just a few short years. He's now married to a super sweet gal and together, they're celebrating one year with their little man James. During my shoot, I learned that James is the fourth generation of their family farm which I thought was a cool legacy to capture. Walking out and into the bean field with Aaron and his son was just so cool to me. Knowing that this little man will grow up around the humble and very hardworking lifestyle of a large family farm is so awesome! He's going to have a fun future on this farm. Their property was such a gorgeous setting for these photos and I really enjoyed watching James transform his looks from "Who the heck are you?" to "Look at me in this wooden crate!" He gave us a whole show with his variety of expressions and I see how easy this little guy is to love. Those blue eyes were just beautiful and his love for puffs (which worked as perfect smile bribes) was so entertaining! Grandma was a great help during this session too, so I was sure to snap a quick shot of her loving on James as well! Oh, and Barley, their dog.....what a cutie! Such a natural for the camera! HaHa! I had such a great time at their house.

Wishing James (and his parents too), a very happy first birthday in a few days. Congrats to Aaron and Lauren for completing your first year of parenthood. I know by now you guys have reaped all of the joy that comes from parenting and comprehend that it's just going to get better with time! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture this special chapter for your family and I look forward to working with you guys again in the future!
